A cop catches a bad girl with blue hair doing naughty things with a druggie on the bridge. Can she seduce her way out of trouble?? Sounds a little risqué to me!

BOOK ROCK BETTY BREAK DOWN:- THE KISSING – There is a lot of tension in this book! There is always something insanely sexy about two people who want to rip each others clothes off, yet can’t for various reasons, especially when they start off hating each other… in this case, John is a cop and Meg is his suspect! Catch my drift? *wink*
- THE SWOONING - John the cop….. this boy is HOT. He wears a uniform and does not let anyone touch him while wearing it….. except for Meg. ;) He has a secret that has turned him into a hardcore do-gooder, but there is so much more to him than that! When he’s not on the job he is an artist and goes running with his shirt off. On top of all that, he really cares about Meg and is super protective of her. He is also really sexy when he’s jealous!
- THE SWAGGER – The book started off with some reckless kids trespassing on a bridge. I was immediately drawn into the situation and fell in love with Meg. She is sexy and snarky with an attitude that reminded me of Rose Hathaway from Vampire Academy! I enjoyed watching the mystery of John After unravel. Jennifer Echols has a good sense of humor and it shines through in her writing. The dialogue between John and Meg was hilarious, but they also had some intense conversations that left me feeling a deeper connection to both of them. I definitely enjoyed the overall story, but I wouldn’t say it was a page-turner.
- THE OH SNAP! – 1. Hot guy in a uniform 2. Rebellious kids up to no good 3. Blue hair 4. Secrets 5. A diner named Eggstra! Eggstra! 6. Hardcore sexual tension
- THE UMMMM WHAT?? – 1. I liked that Meg was little miss tough stuff, but felt like the author tried a little too hard. 2. Meg honestly thinking that John was a 40 year old was a bit ridiculous…. funny, but ridiculous.
- THE ROCK - That’s Where It Is by Carrie Underwood
ENCORE:
This book was just okay for me. I liked it and enjoyed reading it, but for some reason it didn’t wow me. I liked the characters and the story, but I kind of felt like their relationship went from hate to love in the blink of an eye. I realize that spending several hours a day with someone obviously forces you to get to know them, but I could have used another 50 pages of relationship building somewhere in the middle. I was also shocked to discover the reason why Meg is so claustrophobic and unattached to everything in her life. It felt very out of left field, but at the same time, made sense. It was a fast, fun read and I loved the characters; however, I don’t see it leaving a lasting impression on me.
